Phil Y. Peng is a true lyric tenor. Mr. Peng joined the Shanghai Philharmonic Society after graduating from Shanghai Conservatory of Music.   He furthered his vocal training at Manchester College and Ohio University, where he received his Masters of Vocal Performance degree.  While taking special coaching lessons from the internationally acclaimed George Shirley, Mr. Peng taught class voice and studio lessons at Ohio University, Athens Community College, and On Key Music Studio.  After having settled in Montgomery County in 1998, Phil has been actively involved in local music and arts event, appearing in performances with groups such the Overseas Chinese Musicians Association and Mulan Foundation.  Besides singing, Mr. Peng spends time conducting local choral groups, and has been leading the Columbia Chinese Choral Art Society since 2006.
