This course is part of the Applied Qigong for Holistic Healing Certification Program and the Qigong and Tai Chi Certification program.

Purpose

The Purpose of this three-day program is to provide the philosophical framework and alchemical practice for physical and spiritual transformation. It is designed for those who seek to realize their highest potential by gaining clarity on our true nature and stay centered in life. 

A comprehensive introduction to the theory and practice of the Internal Alchemy (Nei Dan): this 3-day intensive course will provide a cultural translation of the alchemical vocabulary and process, unveiling the mysterious codes of the esoteric practice designed to access cosmic Qi and return to the Tao.

Embark on a self-discovery journey of your own spirit, discover your true purpose in life, and uncover the real nature of human beings through stillness, stories and creative writing. You will learn the the cultural background and methods of this ancient practice in the context of Taoist and Buddhist frameworks; and ultimately, to facilitate internal transformations at both personal and societal level.

Course Objectives: upon completion, the participant will be able to

1. Describe the basic Internal Alchemy Anatomy
2. Demonstrate the Pre-Alchemy Exercises
3. Demonstrate Level 1 of the Internal Alchemy practice
4. Explain the basic theory of Internal Alchemy
5. Explain the general history of Internal Alchemy
6. Describe the Internal Alchemy supporting practices
7. Describe the methods of entering stillness
8. Explain Level 2 of the Internal Alchemy practice
9. Describe how to establish a daily internal alchemy practice
10. Explain how to use Internal Alchemy methods to support holistic healing activities

The following criteria will be used to determine successful completion of this educational activity:

1. In a group setting, demonstrate beginning skill level with the Internal Alchemy preparation exercises and the Internal Alchemy practice methods.
2. Participation in group discussion of the basic concepts and theory of Internal Alchemy
3. Participation in discussion of the application of the use of Internal Alchemy in their personal practice
4. Completion of a Personal Learning Note and Course Evaluation Form

Successful completion of this course will result in the awarding of 18 contact hours (18 CNE credits for nurses)
