TCCII PresentsInternal Arts Seminar Series 2008
|
Wudang Shen Dian Qigong
“SHEN” means “mystical” or “spiritual”, and “DIAN” means “electricity”. These two Chinese characters vividly captured the essence of this exercise – to generate “mystical and spiritual electricity”. The deceptively simple movements are based on the Traditional Chinese Medicine principles of balancing Yin Yang forces, and harmonizing the Five Elements. Incorporated with breathing and mental work, this gentle practice is really an effective energy drill, with the primary focus on refining the internal energy to produce the “elixir” (fountain of youth and life force). Those who practice it daily will not only experience health benefits such as enhanced immune system, sustained stamina and vitality, but also better metal focus and concentration, and a more balanced and peaceful approach to life.
The workshop will provide step-by-step instructions on the entire exercise in a three-hour session. The exercise is suitable for all ages and experience levels.
