Tiger Looks Back and Growls from the Five Animal Frolics Qigong demonstrated by Dr. Yinong Chong.
A form of medical Qigong, the Five Animal Frolics (五禽戏, Wǔ Qín Xì) are one of the oldest Qigong/Dao Yin sets and are credited to the great physician Hua Tuo (华佗 ), the father of traditional Chinese medicine.
The five animals are Tiger, Deer, Monkey, Bear, and Crane (Bird). This version of the set comes from a Daoist medical lineage. There are four sets of five animals each in this formerly secret family system. The sets may be learned and practiced in any order. This video series presents set IV.
